Help a Reporter Out (HARO) is an email blast sent a couple times daily by PR GURU, Peter Shankman, President of The Geek Factory, Inc. a world renowned PR firm.

Journalists contact him to find information for the stories they are working on, he compiles the list, and sends it out to you. There are strict rules, however, to protect the integrity of the system, so make sure you read them. I.E. You should only contact a reporter when you have useful information for the story they are working on.
